We are a brand owner as well as a contract filler focusing on revolutionizing the aerosol industry with alternative, environmentally friendly propellants. The company was born out a mutual passion by Dr. Iraj Abedian and Mr. Majid Amini for environmentally friendly brands and solutions. Our drive for environmentally friendly products has also solidified our position as a responsible contract filler.
Dr. Iraj Abedian
Dr Iraj Abedian is the founder and Chairman of Pan-African Capital Holdings (Pty) Ltd. He obtained his PhD in economics from Simon Fraser University in Canada in 1993 and was professor of economics at University of Cape Town, before entering the business sector in 2000 as the Group Chief Economist of Standard Bank SA. In addition to his extensive involvement in public policy making in the first decade of the SA democratic era during the Mandela and Mbeki administrations, he has focused on private equity investments since 2005. Alongside active involvement in private equity investments in South Africa, Dr Abedian maintains a keen interest in public policy issues and is proactively engaged in professional discourses related to the evolving socio-economic system worldwide.
Currently apart from the companies in the Pan-African Capital’s portfolio, he serves the following organizations and companies:
i. Chairman of Board of AMSOL (Pty) Ltd (December 2018 to date)
ii. Member of the Advisory Board of the Auditor General of the SA Government (2006 to date)
iii. Member of Council for Advancement of the SA Constitution (CASAC) (2019 to date)
iv. Member of SA Government Infrastructure Fund’s Investment Committee (2020 to date)
Mr. Majid Amini believes that nothing is impossible beside impossibility itself. His passion for sustainability as well as alternative filling methods is a driving force within the company.
Under his guidance and innovative spirit, IAMA Global has perfected aerosol filling with non-traditional propellants that are sustainable and innovative. His passion for female empowerment and innovation are evident throughout the business and forms the ethos the company lives by.
He holds over 30 years of executive experience. He is currently the Managing Director at both Sentinel Green Solutions and IAMA Global Trade.
He also sits on the Board of Directors of various companies throughout Africa.
